This picture was taken by the American photographer Lewis Hine around the 20’s in New York. It was the beginning of high rise buildings which define the skyline in the Big Apple.

As you can appreciate in the photo, the workers’ safety wasn’t something important in those times. Luckily times have changed for the better and presently the systems for collective safety and safety nets have progressed a lot and enough to wipe out this image from the building sites.
